About

Brad’s inherent passion to create and design, including his insatiable need to understand how things work, is credited to a family of craftsman carpenters and his engineer father.  Brad’s ability to look ‘outside the box’ and provide unexpected solutions, while maintaining a common sense approach, is reputational.  His attentive ear and strong attention to detail are key traits for successful projects and client relationships. 

With a degree in Business and an early career at United Airlines, Brad returned to his studies at the Academy of Art University (AAU) where he earned a second degree in Interior Architecture, with additional studies in Furniture Design.  Brad began his professional Design career working with distinguished Designer Ana Marie Delgado (Delgado Design) and continued his professional development at Backen, Gillam & Kroeger Architects. 

In 2008, as a consultant, Brad moved forward on his self-employed journey, working with a variety of Designers and projects.  He has had the privilege to work with several prominent design firms such as Adeeni Design Group, Steven Miller Design Studio, Jeffers Design Group, Jonathan Rachman Design, Studio Munroe and Kelly Hohla Interiors.

In 2013, with numerous Kitchen, Bathroom and remodel/addition projects completed, Brad formally established Nichols Design Works.  Nichols Design Works offers Kitchen and Bathroom Design as well as Spatial Design for residential projects with the goal of improving and enriching quality of life through design.  We strive to create unique solutions, tailored to the way our clients live, designing environments and experiences that are comfortable, functionally efficient and beyond expectations.   We welcome the opportunity to show you what is possible.
